Desert Palms Landcaping History & Formation
Desert Palms Landscaping LLC was founded in 2023 by cousins Luis and Pedro Zurita, whose relationship has always felt more like brothers than business partners. Starting a landscaping company was never a random decision or short term idea. Landscaping had already been a part of their lives for years. Coming from a family deeply connected to the landscaping industry, both Luis and Pedro grew up surrounded by hard work, outdoor labor, and the day to day operations of running a landscaping business.
Throughout their teenage years, both spent summers working for their uncle’s company, Gabriel’s Lawn Service, where they gained hands on experience working on residential and commercial properties across the Las Vegas Valley. Those early experiences taught them the importance of reliability, communication, consistency, and taking pride in quality work. As they got older, they realized they shared the same vision of building a company focused on professional service, strong customer relationships, and real local experience, which ultimately led to the formation of Desert Palms Landscaping LLC.
Meet The Owner: Luis Zurita
Luis Zurita was born in Las Vegas, Nevada, before later moving to Bakersfield, California with his mother at a young age. Throughout his teenage years, he would return to Las Vegas every summer to work for his uncle’s landscaping company, Gabriel’s Lawn Service, where he gained hands on experience working on residential and commercial properties across the Las Vegas Valley. Those early years in the field helped shape his strong work ethic and taught him the importance of consistency, professionalism, and taking pride in quality workmanship.
After moving back to Las Vegas at 18, Luis continued working full time in the landscaping industry, expanding his knowledge in lawn care, irrigation systems, landscape maintenance, and customer service. Today, Luis brings years of real field experience and operational knowledge to Desert Palms Landscaping, helping ensure every property is maintained with attention to detail, reliability, and pride in the work being performed.
Meet The Owner: Pedro Zurita
Pedro Zurita was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, and developed an interest in business and entrepreneurship at a young age. During high school, he discovered a passion for business, marketing, and the process of building something meaningful from the ground up. That interest eventually led him to attend the College of Southern Nevada, where he pursued business studies while continuing to grow his knowledge of customer service, operations, and professional development.
Before helping form Desert Palms Landscaping LLC, Pedro gained experience working in customer focused environments, including time spent at Home Depot, where he developed a deeper appreciation for home improvement, exterior property care, and the importance of helping customers find the right solutions for their projects. Today, Pedro helps lead the business and operational side of Desert Palms Landscaping, focusing on company growth, communication, marketing, and building long term relationships with clients across the Las Vegas Valley.

Luis brings years of hands on landscaping experience and a deep understanding of the industry from the field side, while Pedro focuses on the business, marketing, communication, and long term growth of the company. We are proud members of the Vegas Chamber, where we actively network with fellow business owners and continue building relationships within the local business community. Through those opportunities, we have even had the privilege of meeting local elected officials, including Mayor Pamela Goynes-Brown. We also believe in supporting local media and community driven platforms, including sponsoring programs such as Mental Margarita Show, where we had the opportunity to sit down and share the story behind Desert Palms Landscaping and our commitment to serving Southern Nevada.

With over 10 years of combined landscaping experience, Desert Palms Landscaping continues to grow through hands on field experience, ongoing education, and a commitment to improving our knowledge within the industry. As our company continues to grow, we are actively working toward expanding our professional qualifications and industry knowledge even further. Our long term goals include obtaining additional certifications and licensing within Nevada while continuing to strengthen our experience in landscape maintenance, irrigation, tree care, and exterior property management. We are also pursuing continued education within the tree care industry with plans of becoming
Certified Arborists in the future, allowing us to continue expanding the level of service and expertise we provide to our clients across the Las Vegas Valley.
